Care technology can support you or someone you care for to remain independent for longer. A wide range of solutions is available to help with everyday tasks that may have become difficult due to disability, ill health, or changes that come with ageing. This includes items such as safety alarms, GPS trackers, and falls pendants, all designed to make daily life safer, easier, and more manageable. This service is provided FREE of charge and can be accessed through Adult Social Care, helping you get the right support when you need

Referrals for care technology can be made by social care professionals, health professionals, and other practitioners working within health or social care services. The referral process typically involves a professional assessment to identify an individual’s needs and determine whether care technology would be beneficial in their specific situation.
Health and social care professionals are also able to become trained prescribers. This training enables them to assess needs directly and order appropriate equipment for the adults they support.
