Tendring District Council : Housing Grants Team
Tendring District Council's Housing Grants Team provide assistance to those needing Disabled Facilities Grants and other forms of grant help for adaptations such as ramps and stairlifts. We provide means tested grants to homeowners of residential dwellings, including caravans & houseboats, for essential repairs to prevent serious harm in the form of an Essential Repairs Grant. If you are a homeowner and need help with Housing Disrepair, such as replacement boilers or roof repair, we may be able to assist you directly if your health is being affected.

All other forms of grant help are tenure neutral and include the Disabled Facilities Grant and Stairlift Grant but these are started by Essex County Council Social Care on 0345 603 7630 and should be your first port of call. Essex County Council also provide equipment and minor adaptions directly. Disabled Facilities Grants are not currently means tested in Tendring
