Health, Wellbeing and Care Hub - My World, My Way: Creating Communication and Sensory Toolkits

Personalised support for neurodivergent children aged 8-12. Every child experiences the world in their own unique way. In these relaxed sessions, your child will work directly with 1 speech & language therapy student and 1 occupational therapy student (supervised by a qualified clinician) to explore what makes them feel comfortable, happy and understood, with a focus on acceptance of differences and self-understanding. Tailored entirely to your child's pace in a friendly sensory-aware space.

Further info

A communication and sensory toolkit is a collection of practical tools designed to help children express themselves, manage emotions and navigate their environment.

What this looks like:

  • Explore their sensory world; discover what feels calming, what feels overwhelming and find strategies to help your child feel regulated and comfortable.
  • Map their communication style; Uncover how your child best likes to express themselves, share ideas, and connect with others on their own terms.
  • Build a personal toolkit; Together we will create a customised guide of practical tools and strategies to share with family, teachers and caregivers.
